5. AIDA Prize for Scientific Investigation

AIDA is proud to announce that it has teamed together with AON RE GLOBAL to provide the AIDA Prize for Scientific Investigation, an award aimed at stimulating research into, and detailed study of, insurance law and related matters.

 

The prize fund consists of €10,000 and a commemorative medal, to be split between first and second prize as follows: €8,000 for first prize; €2,000 for second prize. In the event of a second prize not being awarded, €10,000 shall go to the winner of first prize. Persons are permitted to submit work individually or jointly in any of AIDA’s official languages (English, French, German, Italian or Spanish). The submitted work must consist of a minimum of 200 conventional pages (A4 or letter sized) of single spaced type. The work must include a table of contents, and a subject and author index.

 

The award is open to any persons interested in the international study of insurance and reinsurance. Work submitted for consideration must be original and unedited and be on any topic within the field of insurance and/or reinsurance law. Competitors will submit their work signed with a pseudonym to preserve competitors’ anonymity.

 

Entries should be emailed to aidaworld@btinternet.com and aidaworld@btinternet.com, and simultaneously copied to the AIDA President at cijaramillo@cable.net.co and acoldese@cable.net.co. Entries must be received by 30 March 2006.
